A quick note:
When I initially decided to post a blog series on "changes", I had NO idea how much change was on the very near horizon. In a very spontaneous yet romantic move, my man proposed only days after my initial posting. I was caught rather off guard and left speechless...for about a week. In his infinite patience, my man left me the necessary time to mull it over and give him a full hearted "YES!". I knew we were headed down that path and I was trying to clear the debris (a.k.a. my past as a single girl) for sometime. I decided I couldn't imagine my life with any other. I was fully ready to relinquish my former existence and take make leap. However, I was very unprepared for the whirlwind I would quickly be pulled into of engagement announcements and wedding preparation...and the endless inquiries or comments regarding "starting a family". (Woo, slow down! ONE THING AT A TIME PEOPLE!!) Needless to say, in a moments notice, my life was turned upside down and I soon found myself in some uncharted waters. After an initial sprint into wedding planning, we've decided to pull back the rains and postpone any more planning until we are more settled in. Did I mention we are moving? Anyway, it is only now I am finding some peace to evaluate it all...
